Administrative VA with Bookkeeping Skills

Full-time position | Night/Graveyard shift

Job Brief:

We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Virtual Assistant with bookkeeping skills to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling accounts receivable, managing refund requests, processing virtual payments, and auditing patient accounts. Experience in the U.S. healthcare insurance industry, particularly in a gynecology practice, is highly desirable.

Duties:

  • Handle accounts receivable, process virtual payments, and manage refund requests.
  • Audit patient accounts in 2023, comparing invoices with bank statements to confirm insurance payments.
  • Check surgeries in Practice Fusion to ensure proper filing by the previous billing company.
  • Organize and record all correspondence received from platforms like Practice Fusion and Lockbox.
  • Differentiate Gap vs. Non-Gap Surgery Cases.
  • Schedule marketing campaign (Constant Contact)
  • Update website
  • Update surgeon’s CV
  • Process surgeon’s academic reappointments.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Understanding and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient data confidentiality.
  • Expertise in balancing and auditing accounts with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of the U.S. healthcare insurance industry.
  • Experience working in a gynecology practice (ideal).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Teams, Zoom, and Google Drive.

Technical Requirements:

  • Personal unit (laptop) with at least an i5 core processor, 2.5 GHz, and 8GB RAM.
  • Reliable internet service provider (ISP) with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps.
  • Working webcam for virtual meetings.
